Tamiya World Championship Finals 2011

In conjunction with the Tamiya Fair 2011, the Tamiya World Championship Finals 2011 was held at the same venue the Twin Messe of Shizuoka.

And we are proud to announce that our local hero, the GT Asia Cup Finals 2011 Champion, Mr. Nicholas Lee had fly our Singapore Flag high once again with Victory in the GT-A class. ( the fastest of the classes that was raced) He started off Day 1 of the timed practice setting the fasted lap of the day. But didn't had a good Day 2 of qualifying see him drop down the standing to 5th spot but on Day 3, the final qualifying session brings hope again with him setting the fastest single lap timing of the whole weekend of 15.445s the only driver that beat the mark of 15.5s.

With that he qualified 4th for the 20laps finals. 1st finals saw him taking over the 2nd spot with just 2 laps into the race and eventually taking over the lead in lap 15 saw him taking the Win for the 1st finals. The 2nd finals is not as great with the accident packed first 3corners which sent his car into the barriers damaged the car and he had to retire from the 2nd finals with just 2 laps into the race. 3rd finals is the deciding run. Filled with accidents and excitement saw Nicholas dropped to 8th place and chased up to the leader and overtaking the leader with just 2 laps to go marks a New Tamiya World Champion.

Congrats to the New Tamiya World Champion. And Well Done for flying the Singapore flag so high !!

The annual Tamiya Fair was held this year at the Twin Messe of Shizuoka. Once again Tamiya Fair is held in conjunction with the Tamiya World Championship Finals.

Tamiya Mini 4WD Grand Finals - 30th Oct 2011

The long awaited Tamiya Mini 4WD Grand Finale is CONFIRMED !!

It will be held this sunday (30th Oct 2011) @ Kiddy Palace Toa Payoh HDB HUB.

RACE RULES & REGULATIONS:
GENERAL RULES:
1. Prepare a valid ID preferably with picture to register and get the M4 Race Pass
2. All cars participating in the mini-4WD races should be using genuine Tamiya products
3. All screw ends must be fitted with mini-4WD ball head set
4. All cars must be 4-wheel drive
5. Only Tamiya alkaline batteries can be used and/or allowed batteries like Sanyo alkaline batteries
6. Players must register a timing to proceed to the next rounds (Fastest LAP time will have a Prize)

Category:

There will be two category raced:

1) M4 Pro

M4 PRO RULES: (This is for a specific M4 Chassis only which is the PRO chassis.)
1. Open to all ages
2. Only M4WD PRO Chassis can join
3. Original tires no modifications whatsoever
4. The TOP 27 will proceed to the next rounds
5. Registration Fee of SgD5.00 with Free SANYO battery and a race ticket for 15 attempts
6. Succeeding race tickets will be SgD5.00 each good for 15 attempts

2) Tamiya Singapore Mini 4WD Championship Grand Finale
(only for the top 27 qualified racers that took part in the series of races that was held earlier this year)

Grand Finale Race Format & Rules:
1. Race will be run in group format.
- Each Group will have 9 racers and each racer will have 4 runs each
- Points will be awarded to each racer every run.
- Top 3 racers with lowest points will advance into the Semi-Finals Group Stage
- Semi-Finals will also be run in the group format
- Top 6 Racers with lowest points will advance into the Semi-Finals Knock-Out Stage
- Top 3 Racers will advance into the final run

RACE RULES & REGULATIONS:
GENERAL RULES:
1. Prepare a valid ID preferably with picture to register and get the M4 Race Pass
2. All cars participating in the mini-4WD races should be using genuine Tamiya products
3. All screw ends must be fitted with mini-4WD ball head set
4. All cars must be 4-wheel drive
5. Only Tamiya alkaline batteries can be used and/or allowed batteries like Sanyo alkaline batteries
6. Players must register a timing to proceed to the next rounds (Fastest LAP time will have a Prize)

JUNIOR RULES: (This race is for the children most especially the beginners.)
1. Only 14 years old and below can join
2. Only original tires are allowed (No modification: sanding/filing/etc)
3. 1 Pair of FRP/carbon/alum
4. 1 Pair of stabilizing poles and mass dampers
5. 3 Pairs of rollers only (plastic/metal)
6. Any type of mini-4WD chassis
7. Only REV-TUNED, ATOMIC or STOCK motors are allowed
8. The TOP 36 will proceed to the next rounds
9. Registration is FREE

PUNGGOL CC FAMILY CUP: (This is a special CUP for this particular event VENUE Sponsor.)
1. Only parents of a 14 year old & below with entry in the Junior Challenge can join
2. Only original tires are allowed (No modification: sanding/filing/etc)
3. 1 Pair of FRP/carbon/alum
4. 1 Pair of stabilizing poles and mass dampers
5. 3 Pairs of rollers only (plastic/metal)
6. Only mini-4WD PRO chassis can join
7. Any of the original PRO motors are allowed
8. The lap-timing of the son/daughter in the Junior Race direction will be added to lap-timing in this race and the TOP 27 will proceed to the next rounds
9. Parent and child should be present to release their car in the semi-final rounds
10. Registration Fee of SgD5.00 with Free SANYO battery and a race ticket for 15 attempts
11. Succeeding race tickets will be SgD5.00 each good for 15 attempts
